How to check in online with TUI Airways

Have your booking reference and ID ready
You'll need a 6-character booking reference (PNR) and a valid travel document (passport or EU/EEA national ID).

Use the button at the top of this page or visit tui.co.uk directly. Avoid third-party "check-in" sites.

Enter passenger details
Add passport / ID number, expiry date, and country of issue if travelling internationally. This step is mandatory and blocks check-in if skipped.

Choose seats and add extras
Random seats are free in the 24-hour window; named seats and priority boarding cost extra. Skip if you don't need them.

Save the boarding pass
Add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The TUI Airways app stores it offline once downloaded.

Online check-in must be done 2 hours before departure
Problem: TUI requires online check-in to close 2 hours before flight (longer than most carriers). Late online check-in defaults to airport check-in fee (£35 per person).

Problem: TUI Airways (BY, UK), TUI fly Belgium (TB), TUI fly Germany (X3), TUI fly Netherlands (OR), TUI fly Nordic (TB). Each has different check-in and rules.
Solution: Check operating airline on ticket. UK airline (BY) uses tui.co.uk; Germany (X3) uses tuifly.com.

Yes — Thomson Airways was rebranded TUI Airways in 2017. Same airline, same fleet (mostly Boeing 737, 787 long-haul).
