How to check in online with Emirates
-
Have your booking reference and ID ready
You'll need a 6-character booking reference (PNR) and a valid travel document (passport or EU/EEA national ID).
-
Open the official check-in page
Use the button at the top of this page or visit emirates.com directly. Avoid third-party "check-in" sites.
-
Enter passenger details
Add passport / ID number, expiry date, and country of issue if travelling internationally. This step is mandatory and blocks check-in if skipped.
-
Choose seats and add extras
Random seats are free in the 24-hour window; named seats and priority boarding cost extra. Skip if you don't need them.
-
Save the boarding pass
Add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The Emirates app stores it offline once downloaded.

Common Emirates check-in problems
Special Saver fares have lower checked allowance
Problem: Special Saver fares to/from some destinations include only 20 kg (Economy) or no checked bag at all. The Emirates app sometimes still shows the standard 30 kg.
Solution: Verify your fare class on the booking confirmation. If checked allowance is 20 kg, pre-pay extra at emirates.com — much cheaper than airport addition.
DXB chauffeur-drive booking required separately
Problem: Emirates Business and First include chauffeur-drive but it must be requested separately, often forgotten until 24h before.
Solution: Use 'Manage My Booking' → Chauffeur-Drive at least 24 hours before. Free for cabin class — claim it.
