Known issues at MAD with Iberia
T4 ↔ T4S transfer adds 20 minutes
Problem: Long-haul Iberia flights depart from the T4S satellite, requiring an underground people-mover from T4. Easy to miss the train if running late.
Solution: If your flight is from T4S (gates beginning U or V), allow 30 minutes from main T4 security to your gate. Trains run every 3 minutes.
BA codeshare flights need separate check-in
Problem: Iberia codeshares with British Airways frequently, but online check-in must be done with the operating carrier (often BA from London).
Solution: Check the operating airline on your booking ('Operated by'). If BA, use ba.com instead of iberia.com for check-in.
