Known issues at DXB with Emirates
Long walk to A380 gates
Problem: Concourse A (the dedicated A380 concourse) requires 15–30 minutes from T3 main security including an automated train ride.
Solution: Allow 2.5 hours total at DXB for international Emirates departures. The 'Concourse A' destination is shown on flight monitors after check-in.
Extra US-pre-departure checks
Problem: US-bound Emirates flights have a separate pre-clearance security check at the gate, adding 15–20 minutes after the main security.
Solution: Be at the gate 45+ minutes before scheduled departure for US flights. ID + boarding pass required twice.
