How to check in online with Vueling

Have your booking reference and ID ready
You'll need a 6-character booking reference (PNR) and a valid travel document (passport or EU/EEA national ID).

Open the official check-in page
Use the button at the top of this page or visit vueling.com directly. Avoid third-party "check-in" sites.

Enter passenger details
Add passport / ID number, expiry date, and country of issue if travelling internationally. This step is mandatory and blocks check-in if skipped.

Choose seats and add extras
Random seats are free in the 24-hour window; named seats and priority boarding cost extra. Skip if you don't need them.

Save the boarding pass
Add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The Vueling app stores it offline once downloaded.

Common Vueling check-in problems
Basic fare excludes cabin bag and seat selection
Problem: Vueling's cheapest Basic fare allows only a personal item (40×30×20 cm) under the seat — overhead carry-on costs from €10.
Solution: Pre-pay cabin bag at booking (cheaper) or choose Optima fare which includes both cabin and one checked bag.
Iberia codeshare check-in confusion
Problem: Some Vueling flights have IB code (Iberia codeshare). Check-in must be done with the operating airline.
Solution: If your boarding pass shows VY, use vueling.com. If IB, use iberia.com.

When does Vueling check-in open?
7 days (168 hours) before scheduled departure — among the earliest of any low-cost airline. Closes 60 minutes before departure.
How much is checked baggage with Vueling?
From €15 if added during booking, more at check-in or airport. Basic fare excludes any checked bag; Optima fare includes 23 kg.
