Known issues at ZRH with Lufthansa
Many ZRH 'Lufthansa' flights are operated by SWISS
Problem: On the FRA/MUC routes especially, Lufthansa codeshares with SWISS — your boarding pass may show LH but the operating carrier is SWISS (LX).
Solution: Check 'Operated by' on your booking. If LX, use SWISS online check-in (swiss.com) — Lufthansa.com may not work.
Pier A only handles Schengen
Problem: Lufthansa Schengen flights use Pier A; Star Alliance non-Schengen long-haul (e.g. Lufthansa from FRA) departs from Pier D — different security and border control.
Solution: Check pier on flight monitors after security. Pier D requires non-Schengen border control (~10 min added).
