Quintana Roo tourist tax
Problem: All visitors to Quintana Roo (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum) must pay $11 USD tourist tax (Visitax) before departure.
Solution: Pay online at visitax.gob.mx (24h before flight). Some carriers ask at check-in but online is faster + cheaper.
MEX connection terminal change
Problem: CUN-MEX connections: Aeroméxico arrivals at MEX T2, but international onward at T1. AICM inter-terminal transfer ~30 min.
