How to check in online with Royal Jordanian

Have your booking reference and ID ready
You'll need a 6-character booking reference (PNR) and a valid travel document (passport or EU/EEA national ID).

Enter passenger details
Add passport / ID number, expiry date, and country of issue if travelling internationally. This step is mandatory and blocks check-in if skipped.

Choose seats and add extras
Random seats are free in the 24-hour window; named seats and priority boarding cost extra. Skip if you don't need them.

Save the boarding pass
Add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The Royal Jordanian app stores it offline once downloaded.

Common Royal Jordanian check-in problems
Jordan visa on arrival for most
Problem: Most OECD passport holders get visa on arrival at AMM (45 JOD ~€60), but online check-in doesn't pre-process this.
Solution: Bring USD or EUR in cash for visa fee at AMM (no card payment). Or apply for Jordan Pass online before travel (combines visa + entry to attractions).
Petra connection requires careful timing
Problem: Many travelers want to combine RJ flights with Petra visit — but Amman to Petra is 3 hours each way.
Solution: Plan minimum 2 days in Jordan to include Petra. Tour buses depart from Amman daily.
