Common Qatar Airways check-in problems
Doha transit visa rules vary by passport
Problem: Some passport holders need a transit visa for Doha layovers > 8 hours. The system doesn't always flag this at check-in.
Solution: Check Qatar visa requirements based on your passport (visitqatar.com). Apply for transit visa 5+ days ahead if needed.
Qsuites are paid upgrade only on some routes
Problem: Even Business Class doesn't guarantee Qsuites — some older 777s and shorter routes use standard recliner Business.
Solution: Filter routes by aircraft type when booking. Qsuites are on A350-1000, 777-300ER, and select 787-9 routes.
